📖 Introduction & Significance of the Department
The Holy Quran is the sacred word of Allah Almighty, and He has taken the responsibility of protecting it Himself. Memorizing the divine words within hearts is a supreme blessing and a unique trait of the Muslim Ummah. The "Department of Quran Memorization (Hifz)" at Jamia Islamia Bana Allai is recognized among the core foundational modules, where the young children of the Ummah are blessed with the crown of Hifz under an affectionate, compassionate, and standardized educational methodology.
The department currently comprises two regular classrooms, where special emphasis is laid on the moral, ethical, and spiritual grooming of students alongside core theological studies. Thanks to the dedicated efforts and unique teaching styles of the honorable teachers, every competent student accomplishes the memorization of the entire Quran within an average short span of two years. However, to maintain the strict standard of quality, seats are kept limited during admissions.
⭐ Distinctive Features of the Hifz Department
Diverging from conventional schools, the Hifz Department at Jamia focuses on holistic educational and personal development through the following standout traits:
- Quality Hifz in Short Duration: Under the supervision of highly experienced tutors, an optimized memorization approach is utilized to complete authentic Hifz within two years without putting undue mental stress on children.
- Integration of Religious & Contemporary Studies: It is a unique hallmark of Jamia that alongside Hifz, students receive primary-level contemporary formal schooling. Upon completing Hifz, they are fully capable of getting direct admission into the 6th or 7th grade without wasting academic years.
- Calligraphy & Practical Shariah Rules: Daily sessions are dedicated to beautiful handwriting (calligraphy). Students are also taught practical jurisprudence covering Salaah, Wudhu, daily supplications, and other essential lifestyle ethics.
- Free Lodging & Balanced Diet: All enrolled Hifz students are provided with high-standard hostel accommodation, premium balanced meals, and other fundamental daily necessities completely free of cost.
📝 Examination Modules & Incentives
The assessment architecture in the Hifz department is rigorously integrated to guarantee absolute proficiency and lifetime retention of the Holy Quran:
- Centralized Board Examination: Students completing their Quranic memorization within the current session undergo a comprehensive final annual examination during the last days of Rajab under the central board of Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan.
- Internal Assessment: Students currently midway through their memorization are subjected to strict annual internal examinations evaluated by senior visiting examiners at the end of the academic year.
- Annual Graduation Awards: To recognize performance and motivate young graduates, prestigious certificates, shields, and valuable awards are presented during the grand annual Dastar-e-Fazilat (Graduation Ceremony).
